Kinetics as an idea is about rate – it asks the question "how fast is that happening?" In chemistry, it is chemical processes; how fast does any chemical reaction happen?
Remember that whenever chemical reactions happen, nearly every process can either be described as exothermic or endothermic:
- In any chemical reaction the proportions of both reactants and products changes.
- Normally reactants decrease forming products, thus products increase.
- The reaction reaches to completion when at least one of the reaction goes to completion.
- Limiting reagent is the reactant in the chemical reaction that determines the amount of product that is formed.
OR
Limiting reagent is the reactant that is fully consumed when a reactants depletes. The reactant which depletes is called limiting reagent or limiting reactant.
